Arlen and Jelayne Ewers

Arlen and Eleanore (Jelayne) grew up in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Both attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville to further their education upon graduating from high school. As high school sweethearts, Arlen and Jelayne got married while attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Arlen studied Technical Education and Industrial Studies and Jelayne studied Elementary Education

After graduation, they settled in Huntley, Illinois where they both worked in the same school district for three decades before retiring to travel with their family.

Through the years, Arlen and Jelayne continued to stay in contact with the university and always appreciated the memories associated with the school. It is hoped that this scholarship might be the help needed to start a young student on the road toward a college degree at the University of Wisconsin/Platteville and to a lifelong journey in educating the next generations of students.
