John Morrissey

John Morrissey, a proud UW-Platteville alumnus of 2016, earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance. As a student, John was deeply involved on campus. His most impactful experience was working in Residence Life as a Resident Assistant (RA) and Senior Assistant (SA). As part of the inaugural staff at Bridgeway Commons in 2013, John served two years as an RA before becoming an SA at Rountree Commons during his senior year. These roles sparked his passion for Residence Life and inspired him to pursue a Master’s in High Education Administration. Since graduating, John has worked at universities nationwide, including Texas Tech University, Northern Arizona University, the University of South Florida, Carroll University, and Michigan State University. He currently serves as a Residential Student Conduct Administrator in Michigan State, supporting students as they transition to on-campus living. Grateful for the foundation his RA experience provided, John aims to establish scholarships for RA and SA students, recognizing the dedication and hard work these roles require.
