Mark and Janice Lee
The Mark and Janice Lee Family established this scholarship to celebrate the important role the University of Wisconsin-Platteville has played in their family. Mark and Janice met at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, then the Wisconsin State University at Platteville, in 1951. Janice (Jones) graduated with a degree in elementary education in 1955. Mark served in the U.S. Army and then finished his degree in agriculture education in 1959. Janice returned to UW-Platteville to earn a masters in education in 1970. The couple farmed for over 65 years and Janice taught for 35 years in Iowa-Grant School District. In addition to Mark and Janice, several of their siblings, two of their children and many grandchildren attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
