Paul and Mary Erickson

This scholarship was established by Paul and Mary Erickson. Paul worked at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for over 30 years!

Paul and Mary created this scholarship for families who have individuals with special needs. Special need families face unique circumstances, including expenses. On the other hand, families that face this challenge also have special opportunities for growth. Students who have a sibling with a disability have a unique opportunity to rise to the occasion and become compassionate and thoughtful young adults, with great potential to make a positive impact. This scholarship is in honor of two such siblings, one who has autism and the other who embraced the challenges and opportunities; the two are best friends.
