Sigma Tau Gamma
The Sigma Tau Gamma Scholarship was established to recognize and support the academic excellence and leadership of members of the Gamma Xi Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Founded in 1965 as the local fraternity Phi Alpha Psi and nationally chartered in 1969, the chapter as a longstanding tradition of fostering brotherhood, service, and academic achievement.
For over six decades, the Sigma Tau Gamma brothers have demonstrated commitment to leadership, campus involvement, and philanthropy. From excelling in intermural athletics to actively participating in university organizations, Gamma Xi members exemplify the Fraternity’s noble ideals. The chapter has been honored with numerous national awards, including the Emmett Ellis Chapter Scholarship Award, which reflects dedication to academic excellence.
This scholarship fund seeks to continue that legacy by providing financial support to outstanding undergraduate brothers who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership within the fraternity, and active engagement in the broader campus community. It stands as a testament to the belief that investing in the education and development of future leaders strengthens both the Chapter and the wider community.
