Philip and Faith Sealy and Fred and Betty Schmidt Scholarship

Dr. Sealy’s interest in the Menominees goes back to his childhood when his father and godfather were part-time teachers at the Menominee County Technical School. Dr. Sealy would frequently go there with them when they went to teach and has good memories of the folks he met there. Some of his godfather’s paintings still hang in the CMN library and one of his father’s paintings hangs in one of their conference rooms. Dr. Sealy wanted to start a scholarship fund in his parents’ and godparents’ names that would be specific to Menominees who are seeking an Engineering or a Visual Arts degree at UW-Platteville.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be from the College of Menominee Nation Program
2. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a degree in either Engineering or Visual Arts
