Ardith Stark (Hirsch) Memorial Scholarship

Ardith Stark was a nontraditional student who didn’t attend college until she was in her mid 40’s. Ardith received her bachelor’s degree from the UW-Platteville College of Business Industry and Communications. She had a double major and graduated with high honors in December of 1985. Ardith was a dedicated mom and working student, who still had two children at home. She worked and raised a family the entire time she attended college. When Ardith graduated from UW-Platteville, she received her diploma the same day as her twin sons, Mark and Jon Hirsch. This scholarship is to honor the legacy of Ardith Stark (Hirsch).

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants can be new freshman or continuing students
2. Applicants must demonstrate financial need
3. Preference given to applicants who are female
4. Preference given to applicants who are a non-traditional student

Recipients of the Ardith Stark (Hirsch) Memorial Scholarship may re-apply and receive the scholarship additional times.
