Raymond Spoto Humanities Scholarship

Up to five scholarship may be awarded at $1,000 each. The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):

1. Applicants must be majoring

• a. in German or Spanish (2 scholarships available)
• b. in English OR Philosophy, provided they also have a minor in French, German or Spanish (1 scholarship available for English and 1 scholarship available to philosophy major)
• c. in any major with a French minor. Must have taken six credits in English Literature and Six Credits in Philosophy (1 scholarship available)

2. Applicants must be of junior or senior standing
3. Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
4. Applicants must provide an academic transcript

• a. All applicants must have completed 18 credits of their major in English, German, Philosophy or Spanish at UW-Platteville. Classes completed must be taken at the 2000 course level or higher. For the French minor, the recipient must have completed 14 credits at the 2000 course level or higher.
