American Transmission Company Scholarship

American Transmission Company (ATC) LLC started business on January 1, 2001, as the first multi-state, transmission-only utility in the United States. Unlike most other utilities, it has a single focus: transmission of electricity. ATC’s transmission system allows energy producers to transport electric power from where it’s generated to where it’s needed. ATC has more than 9,300 miles of high-voltage transmission lines and 500 substations that provide communities with access to local and regional energy sources. Headquartered in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, with approximately 500 employees, ATC operates its $1 billion transmission system as a single entity, providing comparable service to all its customers.
