Burnell and Harriet (Gerhke) Deiter Scholarship

The Deiter and Gehrke families all believe in education and want to help young people along their journey to obtaining a college degree in an agricultural field at UW Platteville. This scholarship is offered with that goal in mind and in memory of Merlin Gehrke, Mark Deiter, and Burnell Deiter.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants can be a new freshman or continuing student
2. Applicants must be pursuing a major in the School of Agriculture
3. Applicants must have graduated from a Grant County, WI high school
4. Applicants must have involvement in FFA
5. Preference given to student exhibiting financial need
6. Preference given to student with a minimal high school GPA of 3 .0
7. Preference will be given to applicants who graduated from Cuba City High School
