Bergmann Family Scholarship

The Bergmann family believes that college encompasses more than learning a trade and establishing a career; it is about enlightening one’s knowledge of inter-personal relationships, cultural issues and societal awareness. To that end, this scholarship provides philanthropic reward to those students willing to devote a portion of their course study to philosophy. Charles Bergmann emphasized the importance that his family puts on pursuing a deeper understanding of the world by saying, “it is our sincere hope and desire that this additional philosophical course work will allow students a greater understanding of how and why humanity has evolved and what impact their field of study and career decisions will have on the world. Choosing career and life decisions tempered with this knowledge is the ultimate goal.”
