David and Lou Ann Markee Endowed Scholarship in Education

David Markee graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a Bachelor of Science degree in English and Geography and his Master of Education degree. David worked as assistant director of residence halls at UW-Platteville for three years and also served as UWP’s thirteenth Chancellor. Lou Ann (Pink) Markee graduated from UWP in with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. In appreciation for their longtime relationship with UW-Platteville, David and Lou Ann Markee created this scholarship.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be majoring in Education
2. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
3. Applicants must participate in extracurricular activities
