Van G. Ferguson Scholarship for River Ridge High School

Van G. Ferguson attended UW-Richland and graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in biochemistry before continuing his education at UW-Platteville where he received his degree in broad field science with a teaching certificate in 1984. After graduating from UW-Platteville, Van began his teaching career at River Ridge High School in Patch Grove, WI teaching secondary science classes. Van feels that he gave his life for education, and he choose to leave a legacy of supporting education by creating this scholarship to help first-year students from River Ridge (WI) High School pursue their higher education goals.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be new freshmen
2. Applicants must graduate from River Ridge, WI High School
