Richard and Jane Boorse Engineering Scholarship

“Being able to graduate from college with a degree in engineering was one of the greatest gifts my parents, Richard and Jane Boorse, gave me. Their financial support, and encouragement to stick with it, allowed me to be able to focus on the work which has paid off for years. I wish to honor them and their parents, Gil and Manda Boorse and Lloyd and Ruth La Violette. Any success that I have had is due to them and the example they set with how they lived their lives. I hope that this scholarship in some small way helps give someone the head start that others gave me.” -Mark Boorse

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be a first year or continuing student
2. Applicants must have an Engineering major
3. Applicants must be a Wisconsin resident
4. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need

The Richard and Jane Boorse Engineering Scholarship is renewable so long as the recipient continues to meet the above criteria.
