UW-Platteville Scholarship for West Salem High School

This scholarship is established in January 2010 and funded by James A. Michelson. He graduated from West Salem High School in the Class of 1962 and UW-Platteville, Class of 1966 in Technical Agriculture.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must a first-year student
2. Applicants must be a graduate of West Salem High School in West Salem, WI
3. Applicant must not be user of tobacco products
4. Applicants must can be majoring in any major, but a preference will be given to students majoring in Agriculture
5. Applicants must be United States citizens
6. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need
7. Preference will be given to applicants involved in extracurricular activities while attending West Salem High School
