Edward O. and Lois E. Busby Scholarship

Dr. Edward and Lois Busby came to Platteville, WI in 1966. Edward succeeded C.W. “Larry” Ottensman as dean of the College of Engineering serving in that capacity until 1984; he retired in 1988. During his tenure as dean, the Civil and Mining engineering programs were accredited and the Industrial, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering programs were initiated. He also served on the UW-Platteville Foundation Board of Directors.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be majoring in Engineering
2. Applicants must have demonstrated exceptional intellect and leadership
