Katie Binning Memorial Scholarship

Katie Binning was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She was an avid student teacher who had high hopes to teach and inspire others. On May 30, 2012, she was tragically killed in a car accident on her way to teach the students of the Mazomanie School District. She was only 22 years old. This scholarship is to honor her and her lasting impact on those whose lives she touched.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be a first-year or a continuing student
2. Applicants must be majoring in English or Art
3. Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
4. Demonstrate financial need
5. Recipient(s) must be active in extracurricular activities
6. Preference will be given to applicant(s) who are from the following surrounding counties of Abbotsford, WI:
a. Clark
b. Marathon
c. Taylor
