Jerry Gunderson Small High School Scholarship

Gerald `Jerry’ Gunderson graduated from Appleton (WI) High School in 1960. He then earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Wisconsin State University-Platteville, and a Master of Arts degree from Northern Michigan University-Marquette (Michigan). He taught math and science for 30 years in Wisconsin: in the 1960’s at East De Pere High School and then at E. G. Kromrey Middle School, Middleton, WI.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants can be a first-year student
2. Applicants must be majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Fine Arts, Mathematics, Ecological, Restoration and Resource Management, Soil and Crop Science, Software Engineering, or Sustainable and Renewable Energy Systems
3. Applicants must demonstrate financial need
4. Applicants must have less then 150 students in their graduating high school class

The Jerry Gunderson Small High School Scholarship is renewable so long as the recipient maintains a 2.7 GPA and is still pursuing one of the above listed majors.
