JP Cullen and Sons, Inc. Scholarship

The JP Cullen Foundation was established by Mark, David and Richard Cullen in 1992 in honor of their father, JP Cullen. Since then the Foundation has given scholarships to UW-Platteville students studying Engineering and Construction. Its purpose is to support students studying Engineering and Construction at UW-Platteville and help prepare them for a career in Engineering and Construction. JP Cullen recognizes UW-Platteville as an excellent school in preparing their students to be workforce ready upon graduation and has enjoyed seeing UW-Platteville alums careers progress and develop into leadership roles at JP Cullen and in the construction industry.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be of sophomore, junior, or senior standing
2. Applicants must be majoring in Civil Engineering with a focus on Construction or Construction Management. Each year two scholarships will be awarded to Civil Engineering students with a focus on Construction and two scholarships will be awarded to students majoring in Construction Management (this will include the renewable applicants).
3. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
4. Applicants must exhibit leadership, evidenced by involvement in extracurricular activities on campus and in their respective academic programs
5. Applicants must demonstrate financial need

The J.P. Cullen and Sons, Inc. scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient continues to meet the above criteria.
