Dr. Victor Nylin Scholarship
For more than 40 years, Dr. Victor E. Nylin devoted his life and career to his goal of preparing university and high school students to work in areas related to Agriculture, as teachers in several levels, extension, agribusiness, and other fields. Dr. Victor Nylin was professor of Agricultural Education and later Dean of the College of Agriculture (and also Dean of Men for a time) at UW-Platteville. This scholarship was created to provide assistance to deserving students each year as they work to achieve a career and leadership role in an Agricultural area.
The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must have sophomore, junior, or senior standing
2. Applicants must be majoring in the School of Agriculture
3. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
4. Preference will be given to applicants majoring in Animal Science, Agribusiness, and Soil and Crop Science
