Fiedler Family Scholarship

Michael Fiedler has reflected on his upbringing and past with the town of Cuba City. He established this scholarship to help a senior receive some financial assistance as they enter UW-Platteville for their education. Mike graduated from UW-Platteville in 1971 with a BS in Speech Communications (Broadcast emphasis) and a minor in Electronics. That combination has served him well in his dual careers of Television Broadcast Engineering and as Senior Business Analyst for Delta Air Lines.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be a first-year student
2. Applicants must be majoring within the department of Applied Engineering Technology Management or Life Sciences (Biology)
3. Applicants must be from Cuba City, Wisconsin
4. Applicants should exhibit leadership and community involvement
5. Preference will be given to applicants who are pursuing their pre-professional requirements as a Physician’s Assistant
6. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need
