Lynette (Duerst) Ivey Memorial Early Childhood Scholarship

Lynette (Duerst) Ivey graduated from Wisconsin State College-Platteville, now UW-Platteville, in 1967 with a degree in Elementary Education. Lynette impacted hundreds of students during her teaching career. This was demonstrated by the number of cards and letters she would receive throughout the years from former students and parents thanking her for making a difference in their life or the life of their child. Her teaching success came from her dedication and love of teaching and a true concern for her students. This scholarship was created in Lynette’s memory by her husband Robert Ivey to support future teachers who desire to have a similar impact on the lives of young students.
