Patricia Magnuson Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was created in honor of Patricia L. Magnuson, who was born in Chicago, Illinois, and earned her undergrad and masters degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be a first-year or a non-traditional student
2. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in Education
3. First preference will be given to applicants who graduated from Schaumberg (IL) School district high school located in Cook County, IL who plans to become a teacher, if none, second preference to any student who graduates from Schaumburg (Illinois) School District; high school located in Cook County, IL if none, third preference in a non-traditional student, especially, one who struggled elsewhere, who demonstrates financial need.
