Lisa Karberg-Machotka Memorial Scholarship in Civil Engineering

At the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Lisa Lyn Karberg-Machotka not only excelled in her civil engineering curriculum, but she also was a four-year letter winner in volleyball and a two-year letter winner in softball. Lisa was most determined in everything she did, combining diligence, hard work and practice, and desire. Lisa received her degree in civil engineering from UW-Platteville in 1993, and she became a civil engineer for the Wisconsin Valley Improvement Company. In loving honor of the wonderful life that Lisa Karberg-Machotka lived and the inspiration she was to so many, her family, friends, and company hereby establish the Lisa Karberg-Machotka Memorial Scholarship in Civil Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be majoring in Civil Engineering
2. Applicants must be female
3. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
4. Preference will be given to applicants who have excelled in extracurricular activities at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville
5. Recipients must be of sophomore or junior standing
