Beth and Gary Goldberg Scholarship

Beth and Gary Goldberg met while they attended UW-Platteville; both graduated with degrees in Mining Engineering in 1981. They were married in 1982, and originally lived in Salt Lake City, where Gary began his career with Kennecott. Over the following almost 40 years, Beth and Gary raised two adult children while living and traveling around the world as part of the mining industry. “UW-Platteville gave us the foundation to create a successful future for our family, and we want to help others begin that journey,” said Beth and Gary.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior
2. Applicants must be majoring in an Engineering program
3. Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident
4. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
5. Preference given to applicants with financial need but financial need is not a requirement for all of the recipients.

The Beth and Gary Goldberg scholarship is available for renewal if recipients continue to meet the above criteria.
