Max Anderson Environmental Engineering Scholarship

Max Anderson, professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, taught a variety of courses in environmental engineering during his 33 year tenure at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville from 1979 until 2012. From 1988 until 2008, Max served as civil and environmental engineering department chair. During this time, he was instrumental in the development and approval of the Environmental Engineering degree at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville by the Wisconsin Board of Regents. The department received the Board of Regents teaching excellence award under his leadership in 2007. This scholarship is established to further assist students interested in Environmental Engineering.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be a sophomore, junior, or senior
2. Applicants must be majoring in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering with an environmental emphasis
3. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
4. Applicants must demonstrate financial need
5. Applicants must be a resident of the U.S.
