Betty (Gray) Campbell Memorial Scholarship

Betty Jane (Gray) Campbell graduated with honors from Platteville State Teachers College in 1940 and accumulated 30 years of teaching experience in seven school districts in three states, moving with her husband who was a superintendent of schools. In 1983, she was diagnosed with colon cancer and battled it for six years before passing away This scholarship was created by her husband as a memorial of Betty being an outstanding educator, loving wife, and exemplary mother.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be majoring in English, History, Performing and Visual Arts-Theatre or minoring in French
2. Applicants must be a continuing student
3. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
