Pioneer Spirit Scholarship

This scholarship was created for students at UW-Platteville who are “going at it alone” in their quest for a college education.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens
2. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.2 or higher
3. Applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of 14 credits for the fall term
4. Applicant must demonstrate need, based on one or more of the following
a. An applicant who worked full time for at least one calendar year before attending school
b. An applicant who does not receive financial aid from the university system
c. An applicant who is a single parent raising one or more children
d. An applicant who does not receive financial and moral support from parents
e. Other, in which the student can show a need not addressed by other available scholarships or state/government assistant program, such as the G.I. Bill, social security benefits, etc.
f. Extra-curricular activities are NOT to be considered
