Pioneering Progress in the Fields of Biology Scholarship
This scholarship was created by the donor to give back to students as a way of saying thanks for the scholarships she received at UW-Platteville while earning her bachelor degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish.
The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicant must be a continuing student
2. Applicants be sophomore standing or higher (completed at least 30 credits)
3. Applicants must be majoring in Biology
4. Applicants must have a GPA between 2.5 and 3.3
5. Preference will be given to applicants who are non-traditional students, especially over the age of 24
6. Preference will be given to students who has exhibited a strong desire to attain their degree despite academic hardships. This may include showing perseverance and persistence in overcoming obstacles or difficulties that he or she has encountered.
Please note that the recipient must demonstrate at least one of the following:
1. Volunteer work with hours related to their field of study
2. Involvement in college and community service activities
