Jerry Gunderson Scholarship for Appleton West High School

Jerry Gunderson earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Wisconsin State University-Platteville before earning his Master of Arts degree from Northern Michigan University-Marquette. He then taught math and science for 30 years in Wisconsin.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be from the following Appleton area public high schools: Appleton East, Appleton North, Appleton West, Freedom, Hortonville, Little Chute, Menasha, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Seymour, or Shiocton
2. Applicants must demonstrate financial need
3. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a degree in the following majors: Biology, Ecological, Restoration and Resource Management, Soil & Crop Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Fine Arts
