Grant County Master Gardeners Association Scholarship in Ornamental Horticulture
Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who aid University of Wisconsin Extension staff by helping people in the community better understand horticulture and their environment. The University of Wisconsin-Extension implemented the Master Gardener program in Wisconsin in 1980 to have trained volunteers help county UW-Extension horticultural staff reach out to a greater number of people who are interested in, or have questions about, gardening than the Extension staff can provide alone. This scholarship was created in celebration of the Master Gardeners’ dedication to the students, the field of ornamental horticulture, and the general belief in education.
