Doris Oduro Memorial Scholarship
Doris Oduro’s love and compassion for at-risk population groups carried her to various counseling-related work positions during her life time. During Doris’ short but busy life, she found time to be a successful youth and young adult bible teacher for her local church, a good wife, and a mother, while working hard for the things she believed in. At her untimely death to lung cancer in March 2007, she worked as a financial aid counselor in the Financial Aid Office at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. This scholarship was created to carry on, with her same enthusiasm and spirit, the search for solutions to difficulties confronting at-risk population groups.
