Jerry W. Marty Scholarship
Jerry was born in Monroe, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1969. As a construction project manager, specializing in remote areas of the world., Jerry has been able to live his dream. He traveled to places such as Antarctica, Saudi Arabia, the Pacific Islands, and Alaska. This scholarship was created to assist Monroe High School students with living their dream, starting with UW-Platteville’s Building Construction Management program.
The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in Engineering Technology Management with a Building Construction minor or Civil Engineering with a Construction emphasis
2. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
3. Applicants must be Wisconsin residents
4. Applicants must demonstrate financial need
5. Preference will be given to graduates of Monroe, WI High School
6. Preference will be given to students with military service or those who have been honorably discharged
