Harlan K. Ruskell Memorial Scholarship
Harlan K. Ruskell graduated from Platteville State Teachers College in 1939 with a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Education. He taught high school Agriculture classes for a few years before going into service during World War II. He was proud of his affiliation with UW-Platteville, and he went back for homecoming reunions for many years. Because UW-Platteville was such an important part of his life, he and his wife encouraged their son and daughter to get their degrees. The Ruskell family created this scholarship in Harian’s memory to encourage and help others earn their degrees.
