Jennie L. ('28) and Orlyn P. ('61) Edge Endowed Scholarship
The Jennie L. and Orlyn P. Edge Endowed Scholarship Fund is established by Dr. Orlyn P. Edge in honor and memory of his mother, Jennie, and in appreciation for the educations that both he and his mother received from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Jennie L. Condry graduated with a two-year degree in Elementary Education from then Platteville State Teachers College in 1928. Jennie’s son, Orlyn, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1961 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics.
The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must intend to major in Mathematics
2. Applicants must enroll for the fall in a mathematics course at or above the level of calculus
3. Preference will be given to applicants who score in top 250 of American High School Mathematics Examination (AHSME), scored in the top 2% after taking the MAA (WI) Mathematics Contest Examination, or who have been selected to the All-American team at the annual UW-Platteville Mathematics meet
