Gerald Darrow and Joan Orvis Scholarship

David Ott was encouraged to excel in a career filled with music at UW-Platteville by the professors Joan Orvis, Gerald Darrow, and William Dennis. Dr. Ott created this scholarship in generosity of the influence his professors had on his life and for the education UW-Platteville provided him.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be majoring in Music and demonstrate a high degree of effort in pursuing the degree
2. Applicants must be of junior or senior standing
3. Applicants must be outstanding performers in either musical instrument or voice
4. Applicants must exhibit the highest level of musical talent and be likely to succeed in the career of music
5. Preference will be given to seniors
