Roger Hauser Industrial Studies Scholarship

In addition to a lifetime dedication toward expanding the field of occupational safety, Dr. Roger Hauser played an instrumental part in the development of the UW-Platteville Industrial Studies Department. With diverse interests that include metal fabrication, foundry operations, and building construction safety, Dr. Hauser has indeed left his mark on UW-Platteville. This scholarship was created as a tribute to his passion for the field of Industrial Studies and true commitment to the growth of UW-Platteville and its students.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be of sophomore standing or above
2. Applicants must be majoring within the department of Applied Engineering Technology Management
3. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
4. Preference will be given to applicants emphasizing in Occupational Safety Management
5. Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated leadership in The American Society of Safety Engineers or have similar experience
