Robert A. Tinstman Endowed Scholarship in Engineering

Robert A. Tinstman earned his B.S. degree in Mining Engineering in 1968 and spent most of his adult life around mines. In 1986, the UW-Platteville College of Engineering honored Robert with its Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award, and in 1996 Bob received the coveted Distinguished Alumnus Award from the university. In appreciation for his engineering education at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, he created the Robert A. Tinstman Scholarship in Engineering. The purpose of this scholarship is to attract talented students into the various engineering fields.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be majoring in Engineering
2. Applicants must demonstrate financial need
3. Applicants must demonstrate leadership
