Douglas Jorgensen Engineering Scholarship

Douglas Jorgensen, class of 1967, majored in physics and mathematics and continued his studies at Iowa State University earning a masters degree in physics. For 35 years he taught physics, mathematics, and computer science at colleges in Iowa. In 2004, he retired after 30 years at Iowa Wesleyan College and returned to his hometown in northern Illinois. He enjoys hobbies of open-source computing, ham radio, gardening and being a general handyman.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be a continuing student
2. Applicants must major in Engineering Physics
3. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
4. Applicants must demonstrate financial need
