Mary A. Guanella Scholarship Fund

This anonymous donor graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Teaching in the 1950’s and 1960’s and had a long, successful teaching career. While in high school, the donor was uncertain about attending college, due to limited funds. With the encouragement of Mary A. Guanella and teachers, and a State of Wisconsin one year scholarship, the donor was motivated to attend college. Additional financial support came through low fees, rental books, and summer jobs. Having seen what a college education can do for a person, the donor has established this scholarship for students in similar situations. The donor wants to help the financial needy who may not have pursued the dream of furthering their education without the means to do so.
