Robert J. Walters Endowed Scholarship in Mechanical Engineering

Robert J. Walters attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1990 where he found the engineering curriculum quite challenging but was extremely determined to become a mechanical engineer.
He persevered and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1994, but tragically Robert’s life was cut short by a snowmobiling accident in 1997. In remembrance of Bob Walters and in recognition of how much Bob’s degree in mechanical engineering from UW-Platteville meant to him, a deserving mechanical engineering student will be chosen to receive this scholarship

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be of sophomore or junior standing
2. Applicants must be majoring in Mechanical Engineering
