Kenny and Bea Berg/Quality Liquid Feeds Animal Science Scholarship

On September 1, 1977, Kenny and Bea Berg started a company called Quality Liquid Feeds, Inc. As of January 2005, QLF operates nine plants and two rail depots, marketing products in 34 states, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Annual sales have reached approximately $100 million. QLF started it’s own trucking company in November 1999 and now has a fleet of 65 trucks. QLF also is involved in a joint venture with a German company to import molasses into the U.S. from around the world.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be a continuing student
2. Applicants must be majoring in Animal Science
3. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
4. Preference will be given to applicants who graduated high school in Iowa county
