George Kettler Memorial Scholarship in Agriculture

George H. Kettler attended the Platteville Mining School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering. He always wanted to be a farmer but didn’t have a farm. Instead, he always had a large garden and was into raising and selling fruit trees, evergreens and ornamental shrubs. He liked the outdoors and created this scholarship to encourage students in agriculture.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be a continuing student
2. Applicants must have a major in the School of Agriculture
2. Preference will be given to applicants who live and work on the Pioneer Farm
3. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need
