Huff Family Foundation Scholarship
William E. and Verna Huff formed the Huff Family Foundation in 2003 to support nonprofit organizations and named the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Foundation as one of its recipients, hence the creation of this scholarship. Prior to this, they established Engineering Department Scholarships that were funded on an annual basis since 1983. Bill & Verna were both involved in many volunteer organizations and traveled extensively for many years to all parts of the globe. Verna passed away one year after their 50th wedding anniversary.
The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be majoring in the School of Agriculture, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Criminal Justice, Education, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
2. Preference will be given to applicants in the following order: Lancaster High School graduates, applicants from Grant County, applicants from the state of Wisconsin
3. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate leadership skills
