Grace M. Johnson Endowed Scholarship

Grace M. Johnson devoted her life to teaching. Ms. Johnson received two degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, then Platteville Normal School. In 1926, she completed her certificate to teach in rural schools, and then in 1932, she completed the bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. In appreciation for her career in education and her desire to assist others, Ms. Grace Johnson, at the time of her death in 1995, left the bulk of her estate to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Foundation “to aid and assist worthy students” at the university.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be a first-year student OR*
2. Applicants must be a transfer student
