Kennicker Family Memorial Scholarship

The Kennicker family consists of four brothers, John, James, Jeff, Joey, and their sister, Marilyn, all of whom grew up farming near Cuba City, Wisconsin. The family has a long tradition with UW-Platteville as they majored in agriculture programs and competed on judging teams.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be continuing students
2. Applicants must major in Soil and Crop Science
3. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
4. Applicants must be members of the UW-Platteville judging team (Soils, Crops, Weeds) and the ASA/SWCS (Agronomy Club)
5. Preference will be given to students who graduated form a high school of southwest Wisconsin
6. Preference will be given to students who have a farm background
