Virgil R. Pufahl Endowed Scholarship in Communication Technologies Management

A native of Horicon, Wisconsin, Virgil Pufahl graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in Technology Education. In the fall of 1964, he returned to Platteville as an electronics instructor and taught a variety of Industrial Technology and Communication courses during his teaching career. Virgil was elected Chair of The Department of Communication in 1979, and served the combined Department of Computer Science and Communication Technologies Management from 1994 until retirement. In honor of his 35 years of teaching and leadership at UW-Platteville, and in appreciation of his former students, friends, and colleagues, this scholarship was established.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be majoring in Technology and Engineering Education
2. Applicants must demonstrate leadership
3. Applicants must demonstrate financial need
