George Kettler Memorial Scholarship in Civil Engineering

George H. Kettler attended the Platteville Mining School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering. He worked as an assayer in tie local mines most of his life even though it was taxing and demanding work. Since UWP no longer has the mining department, and Civil.Engineering relates the closest, George created this scholarship to help students in the Civil Engineering field.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be majoring in Civil Engineering
2. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need
