Donald Riess Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was created in memory of Donald L. Riess, who taught Business Education for 38 years in Wisconsin at Trempealeau, Athens, Richland Center and Platteville.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be a first-year student from Platteville High School
2. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
3. Applicants must demonstrate financial need
4. Applicants must demonstrate excellent work ethic proven by demonstrating:
a.12 or more hours of work per week over at least two years while in high school as specified in a resume required for this scholarship application
b. A letter of recommendation from a current/former teacher or employer attesting to the applicant’s work ethic
