G. H. Anderson Structural Engineering Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Gerald Harry Anderson of Madison, WI to assist prospective structural engineers attending UW-Platteville. Gerry graduated in 1966 from UW-Platteville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In 1990, Gerry was recognized with the UW-Platteville Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award for Outstanding Achievement. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin, a Life Member of ASCE, and a Fellow of American Concrete Institute.

The following criteria shall be used in the annual selection of the recipient(s):
1. Applicants must be freshman, sophomores, juniors, or seniors
2. Applicants must be majoring in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering coursework
3. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.7 or higher
4. Applicants must demonstrate interest in structures through course work, employment experiences, and/or advance application to graduate school
6. Preference will be given to applicants who are involved in activities such as: American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Concrete Institute (ACI), or Student Senate
